Windmill House was born from the vision of Joe “JC” Cordovana. After emigrating from Sicily in the late 1960s, JC settled in the Prescott area in the early 1970s and acquired 160 acres in Chino Valley—land that became JC Ranch and the future home of Windmill House.

Windmill House was born from the vision of Joe “JC” Cordovana. After emigrating from Sicily in the late 1960s, JC settled in the Prescott area in the early 1970s and acquired 160 acres in Chino Valley—land that became JC Ranch and the future home of Windmill House.
Drawing on his agricultural roots, JC began by cultivating pasture and raising livestock while refining his long-term plan. In 2006 he excavated the pond and launched construction of Windmill House, the cottage, and began to plant the signature landscaping. Two decades later, in 2026, we marked 20 years of Windmill House and 40 years of JC Ranch.
Today, JC continues to shape the property toward his goal of creating Northern Arizona’s premier destination. He is always actively developing the property and we have recently opened "The Patio", a beautiful outdoor space adjacent to the main building at at the edge of the pond.
Windmill House is recognized as Northern Arizona’s premier, one-of-a-kind event and wedding venue—hosting exceptional weddings, receptions, private parties, and business luncheons.

It all starts with a tour of the property where he will fill in all the details, show you exactly what could be, and explain just how amazing your event will be. He has more than 1000 successful weddings and events to his credit and has great ideas to compliment your own. Booking and planning any event does not get any easier.
